Victor Harbour golf course is always in excellent condition, fairways, bunkers and greens although it can get very boggy in winter. Very picturesque with lots of kangaroos early in the morning. Our golfing group play the course 3-4 times a year driving down from Adelaide. We usually visit when it is hot elsewhere ...... Ive played this course when its up to 10 cooler compared to Adelaide. Excellent layout and has some great holes.......... 1st hole is famous for fantastic views (I always take a photo). One of our group got a hole in one a few weeks ago..... always generates yelling and high 5s in our group. The Pro shop is well stocked and has some very Competitive prices. Eating lunch and having a beer on the balcony is a great experience. Staff are very friendly. $10 discount using the Golf Guide Book making it excellent value and well worth a day trip from Adelaide.

Not only for the golf players, I went there for lunch with family and was impressed with the view over Victor Harbor as our backdrop which was accompanied by a lovely lunch. Choosing Garfish as my main, it was perfectly cooked and presented. The host was attentive and the staff friendly and swift with the service. I would definitely go there again to enjoy good food and view.

The most exciting, scenic and memorable shot you'll play at Victor Harbor is your first - perched high above the rest of the course, the layout's first-tee is located alongside the also elevated clubhouse - stretching out before you is a fabulous panorama, prominently featuring the Southern Ocean and the area's distinctive hills and coastal rock formations - this good-length, rifle-straight par-4 opener, plunges away down the hill, connecting you to the remainder of the course, which is a relatively flat, nicely tree-lined, parkland layout. There is no housing on or around the perimeter, just a wonderfully natural environment of native trees and bushland, a rich haven for all manner of birdlife.

A group from West Lakes Golf Club played in the Mixed Open Day Ambrose on Sunday 5th March. The weather was mild and the course presentation was excellent. We had a thoroughly enjoyable day, particularly when one of our players had a Hole-in-One on the 3rd. hole.Well done VHGC, we will see you again soon.

Was visiting from Brisbane for Grandmother's 80th birthday lunch. We were most impressed with the meals and also the home made bread! :P
